TICKNALL GARDEN CLUB CHARITY FOR 2025
Each year we will be connecting with a local charity and donating a percentage of the proceeds from our raffle to their organisation.
Our sponsored Charity for 2025 is
'Community Care Melbourne'.
They are a charity who link volunteers with people of Melbourne (and surrounding villages), who need help.
They do not received any government funding and need in excess of £2000 per month to keep their services running.
Some of the services Community Care Melbourne offer their local community:
Community Minibus with wheelchair lift - a weekly service transporting people in need from their homes to the local supermarket. They also offer regular day trips and shopping further afield.
Volunteer Car service - a team of willing volunteers who offer their time to transport people to appointments at low cost.
Wheelchair Loans - Wheelchairs are available for people to loan on a short term basis.
Melbourne Memory Cafe - A friendly cafe for people with dementia and memory loss, and their families. Last Tuesday of each month., 1.30pm - 3.30pm at Melbourne Assembly Rooms.
